We’ve been delighted with the comments we’ve received to our blog posts. Getting instant feedback on our thoughts is proving tremendously helpful to us, and we hope you’ll all continue to share your opinions with us as we develop v2. We’re awarding £50 Amazon vouchers to Jonathan Allen who has provided a staggering amount of feedback to us, with over 20 comments to our blogs, frequent emails, retweets and participation in a recent usability session. Jonathan, thanks for the awesome contribution to this project.
Here are the prizes so far:
- December Prize Draw – Congratulations and thanks to Kev Riley
- November Prize Draw – Congratulations and thanks to Scott, the SQL Ninja
- Outstanding contribution – Jonathan Allen
Thanks again to everyone, and please keep following our progress…..
Why are you doing this?
Here at Red Gate we listen very carefully to user feedback and we’d like to know exactly what sort of thing you want. By sharing our latest designs and our thoughts as we develop version 2 of SQL Response, we hope you’ll give us your feedback so we can make your ideal monitoring software.
What do you want to know?
Here are the kind of the issues we’re interested in hearing about:
- what information is it you’re most interested in seeing? CPU, disk, SQL processes, memory usage?
- how long do you need to store data so you can look at past performance? A week? A year?
- are there things specific to your environment that need a custom alert?
And we’re still interested to see your dashboard designs, so send them in and we’ll enter you to the prize draw.
Do I get a thankyou?!
We’ll be randomly awarding prizes to the most frequent contributors or most interesting contributions, from everyone who comments on our blog or who emails us their ideas.
